Keystone Custom HomesSituated just an hour northwest of Philadelphia, Pa. is the city of Reading, which is the county seat of the beautiful Berks County Pennsylvania. Berks County, which is home to more than 400,000 people is now also the new home of Keystone Custom Homes’ two newest communities.

Formed in 1752, Berks County was created from parts of Chester, Lancaster and Philadelphia Counties after inhabitants of the area petitioned for a separate county to be established. The county receives its name from William Penn’s family home’s English county location, Berkshire, which was shorted to Berk.

Today, Berks County is home to several popular attractions including the Reading Public Museum, which houses exhibits on art, history and science; French Creek State Park; Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center; the Daniel Boone Homestead and more.

Keystone Custom Homes, Pennsylvania’s largest independently owned home builder is excited to bring their award-winning home designs to this popular and historic area of the state.

At Buckingham Preserve in Douglasville, buyers of new homes in Berks County will find stunning single-family homes priced affordably from the $190,000s. The community’s location is convenient to sought-after schools in the Daniel Boone School District, as well as King of Prussia, French Creek State Park and Route 422.

Their second Berks County new homes community, Middle Creek Farms, offers single-family homes priced from the $230,000s. Located in Oley, Middle Creek Farms also offers student excellent educational opportunities within the Oley Valley School District, and is close to Route 422 for convenient access to Reading and King of Prussia.

A third new community of homes in Berks County, Penn Hills, will open in the near future.

All three communities feature homes in some of the builder’s most popular designs with high-quality interior features and finishes, including gourmet kitchens with breakfast areas and large islands, oversized family rooms for entertaining,  spacious secondary bedrooms with walk-in closets and master suites on the first or second floors with spa-like bathrooms.
