Traton Homes' OBIEs At the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s 36th Annual OBIE Awards on Saturday, November 12, 2016, Traton Homes won four OBIES, one in each of the four categories it entered this year. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home industry each year. Traton was recognized with three gold awards and one silver award for its work.

The first award the builder won was a Gold OBIE for Maclean’s Crossing in the Single-Family Builder Detached – $600,000 to $699,999 category. At the sold-out Maclean’s Crossing community in Roswell, Traton offered an intimate enclave of luxury homes. The gold award-winning home featuring the Logan floorplan, was beautifully designed with exquisite attention to detail. The inviting foyer, flanked by an elegant dining room, flowed to the family room with cast stone fireplace. The sophisticated yet functional kitchen featured white raised panel cabinetry, custom surround with stainless hood, marble backsplash with marble and glass mosaic, striking black granite on perimeter countertops, quartz on the island countertop and a butler’s pantry featuring marble and black dot mosaic backsplash and wine rack. The adjacent hearth room was made even cozier with a fireplace featuring a white Ledgerstone surround. The master on the main was a haven featuring a stunning bath with white porcelain tile, a glass and marble mosaic tub backsplash and espresso cabinets. Outside the home continued to wow with a spectacular outdoor patio with brick pavers and fireplace. Traton Homes thanks the Cunningham family for generously allowing them to enter their beautiful home in this year’s awards.

The second award Traton won was a Gold OBIE for The Reserve at Old Atlanta in the Best Interior Merchandising Detached Model – $700,000 to $799,999 category. Located in Suwanee, The Reserve at Old Atlanta’s award-winning model home showcases the popular Presley plan and features a brick and stone exterior with inviting arched entry, front porch and side-entry garage. The model incorporates an heirloom family feel with modern finishes, rich moldings, grand lighting, vibrant artwork and elegant fabrics. Highlights include a sweeping two-story foyer with lantern light fixtures; a floor-to-ceiling Ledgerstone fireplace in the family room; gourmet kitchen with white quartz countertops; keeping room with striking painted white brick wall with vaulted ceiling and stained cedar beams; opulent master suite with trey ceiling, sitting area, large wall of windows and luxurious bath; and a large media room with a modern and retro feel. Additionally, the home backs up to approximately 36 acres of community green space, the majority of which runs along the banks of a tributary that leads to the Chattahoochee River. The Reserve at Old Atlanta offers an amenity center with Jr. Olympic pool, kids’ pool with water feature, clubhouse and two lighted tennis courts. Children attend Johns Creek Elementary, Riverwatch Middle and Lambert High. This community is now selling in its second phase. The third OBIE award Traton won was a Gold OBIE for (P)interact with Traton Homes in the Best Social Media Campaign – Builder/Developer category. (P)interact with Traton Homes, held in the spring of 2016, was a huge success and helped celebrate the grand openings of the builder’s new decorated model homes at The Reserve at Old Atlanta and Vinings Parc East. Participants created Pinterest boards showing how they would decorate the home of their dreams with the hashtag #TratonHomesPinteractContest. The top boards were posted on Facebook, and two rounds of voting occurred. The contest featured prizes such as $50 and $250 gift cards for the winners. The campaign helped Traton Homes gain new Pinterest followers and Facebook reach increased by 100 times. Additionally, traffic to the blog increased during the campaign. 21 percent of this traffic was from Pinterest, and 81 percent of the sessions were first time blog visitors. Finally, Traton won a Silver OBIE for Vinings Parc East in the Best Interior Merchandising Attached Model – $500,000 to $599,999 category. The award-winning decorated townhome model at its sold-out Vinings Parc East featured the Vinings plan with a sophisticated, elegant design and modern touches. With a twist on new southern traditional style, the base color palette of the model home consisted of warm neutrals including ivory, tan and espresso with touches of gold and chrome. Interior highlights included dark tongue and groove paneling in the foyer; gourmet kitchen with clean white silk cabinetry, oversized espresso kitchen island and quartz countertops; family room with a floor to ceiling travertine surround around the fireplace with a cedar stained mantle; and magnificent master suite with inset bead board wall, custom trey ceiling and brilliant lighting.
